**QUESTION FOR KA GAURDIANS**
I have a question: are newspapers allowed on Khan Academy? I've seen some newspapers, and even co-own one myself, and just want to know if this is allowed. I've heard about a newspaper war that happened a few years (or months) ago, that ended up getting people banned and making them shut down.

Creating newspaper programs is fine, as long as the program adheres to the Program Guidelines. Additionally, please be sure the program doesn't advertise other users' programs, discuss moderation actions, or share personal information (these are what frequently get newspapers hidden).
Some newspapers in the past have tended to cause lots of off-topic chatter, so make sure you're not covering any controversial topics and that you keep your discussions relevant to the program/coding as well.

Newspapers arent against the guidelines exactly but they often lead to situations which bring the guidelines into questions. In my experience, here are some things which have caused newspapers I’ve been in in the past to be moderated:
1. Off topic discussions in the chat
2. Off topic articles
3. Discussions and/or articles discussing moderation actions
4. Intense rivalry leading to arguments with competing newspapers
5. A member with a banned account using the team account (ban evasion)
6. Mocking or joking about moderation in satire articles
Keep clear of these things and your newspaper should stay within the guidelines.
