(Re)add DAILY STREAKS to Khan Academy
I'm new here, it's been 8 months since I made my account here and safe to say KA is a wonderful place to learn. But one thing I noticed is that it lacks a Daily Streak feature, unlike some other education apps like Duolingo. It should be a great addition, for a couple of reasons:
1. Motivation Source:
- Daily Streak would help students to learn every day and keep them always engaged. It'd make learning as addictive as scrolling and will help students come back to study every single day (because who'd want to see their beautiful 127-day streak turn into 0?).
2. Notification Reminders:
- With the Daily Streak added, a daily reminder would also help students not miss out on a day, reminded of their long streaks. Adding a personality could make it less annoying too.
Additional request: Leaderboards
- Exp-based, weekly ranked leaderboards would also be a great addition to this (just like how Duolingo implemented it), and EXPs are earned from completing a lesson or a single video.
Turns out, Streaks actually existed back then but it was removed 3 years ago. Honestly disappointed that they removed it but hopefully, they will return it. Anyway, I believe these additions would be a great help and improve the learning experience.
