Heartbroken Over MCAT Being Retired

I can't begin to state how important it is that this resource stays up on the site. The disparity amongst pre-med and medical students is enormous. KA was allowing me to keep up with students with trust funds and private tutors.

Some of you may have heard the famous saying "medicine is a rich mans education". Why such a statement? Because even after factoring in the cost of tuition, one hasn't even begun to consider the immense accumulation of learning resources required for success in such a difficult field. I know your site needs money, and money of us are just poor students that can't make donations yet.

I would like you to consider 2 factors:

1.) Khan Academy has only been immensely popular for 5-8 years. Many of us have not been using the site long enough that we now have successful careers. 

2.) Medicine is a long education path, but the payoff is enormous. Doctors have some of the highest salaries of any group in the world

KA has such a stellar reputation among the pre-med and medical communities for their hard work and sacrifice keeping this resource running. If you can find it in yourselves to keep this resource up, I have a feeling the future payout for the site will be enormous. Many doctors are philanthropic, and behind health one of their most important priorities is often education. If the resource is kept up another 5 years, long enough for many of these doctors to finish their education, you will likely see a corresponding spike in donations. So many students are grateful for the resources that have been provided, but more than any other resource on the site, I know so many students that rave about how they only passed the MCAT because of KA. 

I've heard the resources may be migrating to another site. Do you really expect a for-profit company to keep true on their promise to keep the practice questions free? They would rather sell you a dozen practice exams and an over-priced review course that students like myself can't afford. 

I'm sad enough over the other resources leaving the site, but the MCAT prep is different - it is, in every sense of the word, irreplaceable, and a crucial piece of the KA legacy, that people will talk about for generations to come. 

Please don't do this - I'm begging you. It will only hurt students like myself that are living in poverty and trying to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps.
