Students can't view my assignments ...

I started a class. I linked it to my Google Classroom roster and Khan Academy sent out an invitation via email to join my class.
1. Students have joined but many still show in the list of students who have not accepted AND they show below where they HAVE accepted. Both places.
2. Most students do NOT see the word "assignments" where I placed one assignment: Unit test on Nouns. Some students see that assignment and they took it and I can see their score.
3. Those who do NOT see the word assignments have scrolled down until they saw the noun unit test and took it. I had a students share screen while he took the test. He got 100%. When I look at scores his is blank.
4. I used to get a blue box pop up when I logged on to a class and it asked me to "accept" a student and then the students saw the word "assignment" - now I do not this this pop up and none of my students are seeing "assignment"

Please help me. Please tell me this is easy to fix. UGH!
