In this case, I think the best solution would be to have her add you as a parent from her end, which should send an email to your email address to confirm, rather than having the confirmation email sent to her email.

To do this, she will need to log into her account and go to the Account Settings page. From here, she should be able to enter your email under the "Parent/Guardian email" section, which will send you a confirmation email asking you to accept the invite.
