It seems like the majority of them have been retired. There isn't even 1 for reaching 1,000,000 energy points anymore. I think this is very disappointing and khan is becoming a bland user experience. Why are we moving backwards instead of forwards when it comes to enticing people to education?
Is anybody working on bringing the quality/quantity of badges back? Maybe new ones?

There's a few different reasons why many of the badges have been retired:
- We retired several badges that were associated with the old Mission system after the permanent move to Course Mastery. These badges were no longer compatible with the new system, and were removed until we are able to migrate some of them to the new system.
- We retired several badges as part of our transition to a new codebase. In order to simplify this transition, we decided to remove some of the badges that were not widely earned and that were not directly related to learning.
That being said, adding more badges for the Course Mastery system is definitely something that is on our to-do list, but I'm afraid I don't have a timeline as to when this may happen. If you have any specific suggestions for new badges, feel free to post them here so that our team can take your ideas into consideration when creating new badges!
