A new formula I found

Hi guys, I am very happy to share this (or these) new formula(s) I recently found with you!:D

I love math and I like to do these little projects on identifying the relationships between some numbers. So basically, that day I came up with this idea about finding the relationships between square a + square b and its result [ I am not so sure on how to explain what I did ], and below is the what I found:

I hope you guys can test this formula with me, just throw in any positive integer you think of in and calculate it and see if it's right. I am really willing to discuss about it with you!

I also like math, and know a couple of cool properties of numbers that I found out all by myself (but were discovered like in Ancient Greece and probably earlier time periods)

I think you might like number theory.

If you want, feel free to ask me questions since I would think I am good at math (and LOVE it as well) since I took multivariable calculus in high school ** boastful face :^} ** Anyways I really think you would like number theory.
