I can see where you are coming from and I truly understand your frustration but hopefully soon Khan Academy can figure something out. Also as of now, I suggest that you alert your students to take their time, and be careful when answering. Also, encourage them to review the incorrect then correct bar where it shows the steps on how to properly solve the problem and remember as well that overall Khan Academy is built from ACE mastery courses and it requires 100% mastery in the courses that your students are taking to certify full understanding of what the course is about.

I just had almost finished my 5 grade math course when I saw I should see what a course challenge was. I got some wrong and NOW I have to do ALL the unit tests over again! This is not cool!

My daughter got a question wrong on a unit test because she didn't simplify an improper fraction. She moved from mastery to proficient on the relevant skills. She took the test again, got 100% but the skills remained at proficient (and she had 100% on the practice questions and quizzes). Seems unfair and not encouraging students to learn from mistakes.
