Hi Jennifer,

In order to give a new student access to past assignments, you will need to edit the existing assignments and make sure the box is checked next to the new student's name. In order to save the edits, you will also need to change the due date to a future date (you can't save an assignment with a due date in the past). When doing this, be careful not to uncheck any of the other students' names, as this will cause their scores to be deleted.

Another option is to re-assign the old content as a new assignment, but only assign the content to the new student. To do, navigate to the Assign tab in your class and select all of the content that the student needs to be assigned. In the popup modal, make sure only the new student's name is selected under the students list and then click the Assign button.

It would really really help if we had an easier way to do this! I get new students every week. If they start in the middle of the quarter they aren't able to achieve the entire credit unless they do previous assignments. I always like to give them access to previous assignments, but it is so tedious to do and the current students always get confused why the due dates keep changing.
