Where are the foreign languages?

After looking at the courses offered in Arts & Humanities, I was surprised to see that you do not offer any lessons in foreign language. In a globalized society such as ours, I think that it is imperative to learn how to speak at least one language other than your native tongue. Beyond the basics of grammar and vocabulary acquisition, foreign languages teach us how to communicate which is an important skill to learn. They also teach us how to look outside of our own culture & customs and appreciate how others live. I hope to see this added to the curriculum because I think there is too much emphasis on STEM education and not enough on STEAM. The Arts may not be considered a core subject but that doesn't mean that it is not as important as one. Foreign language is a key component to Arts & Humanities and a vital element in a well-rounded education.

I absolutely agree that learning languages is important, I myself love learning other languages. I've been learning German for 3 years now, and have dabbled in a few others like Japanese, Russian and Greek (still learning the alphabets). It would be awesome if Khan had lessons on foreign languages, however, there's a lot that comes with learning a language, as well as it can be very time consuming, not only for the learner, but also the creator. There would have to be dozens to hundreds of videos just for one language (depending on how far into the language they were to teach) and this would take a very long time. Time that KA simply does not have due to dedications to other projects, and the relatively small team.

Again, thank you for your feedback. Perhaps one day Khan can partner up with a program like Duolingo or something and create content on foreign languages. Many including myself would love to see this one day.
