I'm a teacher, and I LOVE the current format of KA math courses. One continuing headache is that if a student makes a minor goof on one unit test problem, they need to retake the entire unit test to level up that one skill. Please either give coaches the capacity to manually change scores, or use something like the old "Mastery Challenge" approach of giving a follow up question rather than the entire test.

I agree with you on this! I am an adult learner who is still prone to careless mistakes, and I use the iPad app, which sometimes makes it easier to make careless mistakes! What you have just posted is my #1 issue with the new Unit Mastery system, as opposed to the old Mission Mastery system. In addition, Khan Academy will sometimes add one or more new skills to a unit, and in order to level up to the maximum 100 points for each new skill, the students have to take the whole unit test again! It was so less stressful to take the mission mastery that was here earlier!
I was thinking about this today, it is totally true what you said!
Today I did must retake the test 3 or 4 times because one litle error in 30 questions, and again must do all the test again and again, and if the error is in the begining, than the desire is to throw the computer on the wall! ;-)
I agree. Mastery should be a plausible and satisfying achievement, not an endless grind that doesn't facilitate actual learning at all. It's frustrating to see skills you understand marked as "not mastered" simply because of little errors in copying the problem, arithmetic, or even typing.
This system makes complete mastery of a subject essentially unachievable for anyone with processing or memory issues and even most people without. I learn on Khan Academy because my disability makes it difficult to attend more traditional courses, and to have this constant reminder that I will never have "mastered" a task because of something completely out of my control is awful.
It would be much more useful as a learner and especially as a disabled person to be able to retake only the Unit Test questions that I made a mistake on, have shorter "mastery challenges" to level up one specific skill, or to just not require a 100% score to have mastered a skill.
Having this roadblock to "perfection" makes my experience with Khan Academy so much worse and makes me want to not use this site at all.
