Hi Deidra,

Currently there is not a way to see a total average for students' assignment scores. As a possible workaround, you might be able to calculate their average or total score by downloading a CSV file of their assignment data. You can do this by visiting the Settings tab in your class and clicking "Download CSV".

Evan, it seems that a total grade averaging function would be basic to a program like this!  I would like to use work done on Khan Academy as an additional grade for my students as an incentive.  I think you can see how with several different sections of English class it is a significant extra burden on my already stretched out time to calculate all the grades for each student individually!  I hope you are considering adding a grade averaging feature in the very near future! You have all kinds of other complex analytic functions so it seems that including grade averaging shouldn't be so difficult!  Khan academy is a very useful learning resource!

I a sure the team has already seen your request but I would like to second what Evan suggested.  If you download a csv file - you can open it in excel.  You can then have the excel program average all the grades for all of your students.  It is an extra step- but not very time consuming.  I would suggest doing this in the meantime.  I have found the folks at Khan Academy to be very open to making changes and updating features on their site, but it definitely takes time and patience (when you are waiting for the change!)  The excel step could do this very quickly for you.  If you already download the reports (as I do) I am guessing you will find lots of other formulas you want to use as well.  I use excel to highlight any grades below a 70%.  I also use it to highlight my top performer in each class in certain categories.  Good luck!

This would be a really handy feature. I would love to have an overall grade for each student and be able to break the grade down into strands (Number Sense, Geometry, Data, etc.). 

Using the CSV file is a mess. I'm looking at mine now at the end of the year and I have 2000 rows of data.
