Would the users who helped out be able to recieve the badges for spinoffs along with the user because the user that releases it would be getting rewards for all the hard work everybody in the group has done.

This is a really interesting concept that I would like to see explored. Many questions raised already illustrate the complexity surrounding implementation. How would you propose points allocation? Awarding every team member a badge is simple and not costly but if a single program could have, say five collaborators, and someone spins-off, do each of the collaborators receive inspiration badge points? Do they divide amongst users or multiply?

I would say every user gets the badge, but then if someone only added one line, then they'd get the badge anyway.... Hmm, that would be an interesting topic of thought.

I think not only the people who is in the credit section should get badges, they should also be able to edit the code.

Perhaps you can somehow share badges with other members.

You know what would be really cool? If we could have a design on our programs similar to Scratch's. Then, we could have a little area for what is normally in the program's comments (so that people can see credits, etc) and another area for the program. Then, there could be a button at the top that lets you switch between viewing the comments and viewing the program code. This would make it a lot more obvious to people who ACTUALLY wrote the code.
And maybe we could have separate badges for collaborations besides the normal ones. Something like "1000 Kelvin Collaboration" or something like that so that everyone knows that it was made in a collaboration.

Good point. In that case, KA should also add a collaboration feature, so people do not need to discreetly share passwords with each other.

Yes, I definitely think they should add this. I think they should add a share button, where you can select the owner of the project as well as any collaborators. Collaborators can edit the code and get badges like, "Inspiration" but cannot change permissions and allow other collaborators. The owner can do everything they normally could but can also change the permission sets and nominate other owners if they want them to also have control. Only the first owner (The user who created the program) will get to delete other owners. Owners that are not the creator of the program cannot remove the original owner's access.

Maybe this could be a bit like google drive. You can share a project with people and if they contribute to the project they will be added in the credits.
