That really depends on where you go to school. NGSS is a set of science standards so if you live in a state/district that uses them, you probably want to use that one. If you don't know what standards your state uses then I would suggest just picking one of the courses and go through it. Both of them cover the important concepts in science and biology and either one will help you with understanding the content of your biology class.

In addition to what Caden has said, I also wanted to share the AP Biology course with you. This course is aligned with the AP curriculum, which is taught as an "Advanced" or "Honors" biology class in many schools. If you're planning on taking the AP Biology Exam, then I would also recommend doing this course.

If you're still unsure which course to take, it may be helpful to ask your teacher to look over the courses and compare the content to what they teach in their class. Then you can pick whichever one aligns with that content the closest.

I wanted to ask should I take 4 aps as a sophomore? They are APUSH, AP calc AB, AP bio, AP chem. Should I also take AP calc AB and BC together in sophomore?

That really depends on you. I would always recommend taking one or two aps in a year before taking a full load. You should also reach out to the teachers of those courses at your school and get a feel for the difficulty and homework load before enrolling.

But how about if I study through khan academy and do textbooks and study thrpugh practice problems, would this be enough?

That’s how I prepare for my AP classes but I just think you should be aware and prepared for the work load of the class
