From an Artist to Patronage
I would like to first start out by thanking, offering appreciation and admiration of the Khans of their multitude of ways in which they are pure examples in society of Philanthropy and Stewards of their wealth for the good of society and patronage of Culture through their many organization to Educate. We need more people like them to set examples in society for progress. I am an Artist and visit this website for inspiration and enjoyment, however most of the Artists are male in gender besides only one, Lee Krasner wife of Jackson Pollack. I would truly like to see more female abstract artists that empower woman in Art. It’s a well known fact that for decades the field of Painting has always been male dominated and very difficult for woman Artists and even continues to this day when it comes to receiving national or world recognition. I would really like to see The Khan Academy invest, obtain and display Helen Frankenthaler work. She was a leading and very original Woman Abstract Painter who needs to more recognized and given great importance today for her accomplishments of that decade. WoMan Artists of today need to find other past leaders in their field of Art to inspire them to becoming successful in the field today. We need to do more to empower the woman Artist of today. I as an Artist followed and was inspired by the Abstract Artist shown. However, was a little disappointed to see the lack of woman artists being promoted. And as a admirer I was very inspired by Rothko, Pollack and Frankenthaler. I would also like to see that more opportunity is given to Artists in the form of Workable/Livable studio situations because it’s very difficult and costly to an Artist trying to build a body of work for exposure and success with incurred costly and expensive material to create their art yet not affordable housing. It’s sad that we are in the meantime many are in the development of revitalization of many new area and cities to create Art Districts, however create the lack of affordable studios for Artists driving up costs in that very area and driving out the Artists themselves. Possibly you can assist using your connections, contacts and influence to do just that. Thank you for your time and patronage to society
