That's a good idea, Lori. This isn't an option at the moment, but I hope KA plans to add new tools to the Coach dashboard soon.

Is it possible to see the score for each attempt so that the scores can be averaged?

As an adult learner who keeps going until I get 100%, I would not want a limit forced on me. If this ever gets added, please make it an option, and of course, allow the override of a maximum to be available on app platforms, too.

Please make it so you can set a max as an option, or at least let me (coach) see what their first score was.  Sometimes I want them to keep going until they get a score they are happy with, but sometimes I want to use it as a quick assessment.  I have several students who have taken 6 or 7 attempts on a 5 question quiz.

In our case, this is a very big problem with KA. My two children know they have an unlimited amount of retakes so they are simply guessing at these quizzes. 

Kind of undermines the entire program.

It is ridiculous that this is not an option to begin with and even more so that it still is not!! I use this with my English language learners.  (because they can watch the videos in Spanish and do the assignments in Spanish.  But when I want to use it as a graded quiz to gather some info on their ability, they just retake it over and over until they get a grade, and then they share the answers with the class (in their own language) and then I have students not even attempting to learn, just waiting for another student to give them the answer.  This is ridiculous.  Do NOT market Khan academy as a tool for my classroom when it is not. 

Yes please!!!  I think we have kids taking it multiple times past the point of getting a 100 so they can copy the questions over to something for others to use. =(

Why hasn't this been addressed? It has been over three years.

You can see a list of their attempts with scores by going to the Activity Overview tab and selecting each individual student. Tedious but helpful on a case by case basis.

Thank you Lori for requesting a maximum number of attempts.  It would be extremely helpful if this option could be added to the pop-up screen when assigning assignments.  

I personally love the fact that there are no limit to retries. Khan Academy at it's heart is a LEARNING tool, not a GRADING too... it's purpose is to allow users to gain knowledge...NOT to be constantly accessed. There is too much of that in the public school system already. If teachers need to constantly access students, I suggest they use another tool, or create their own tests to distribute.
