Hi Maricela,

I can confirm that the "Real Time" graph that would go up and down in real time is gone.  Lots of folks want it back and I'm funneling all of that opinion back to the Khan design team.

Live data is very important to me and my teachers too -- I'm going to be staying with this issue until we have something that teachers can use in real time to monitor their class' activity.

Great question. Thanks, Doug, for keeping on this. While the live graph wasn't perfect, I liked how I could throw it up on the screen while I worked around the room to track how students were working. And I also think that they liked seeing the activity as well.

I also miss this feature - it was motivating on days when the kids were a little sluggish, and gave a sense of community working together to make positive change.

I miss this component of KHAN as well.  Real time monitoring of effort was an fabulous thing to challenge the kids with.  "See your concerted effort makes a difference as opposed to off task behavior."  They could see it!

I, too, miss this feature. My students loved to try and get the graph as high as they could go (it seemed a bit Pavlovian, but it worked) while they were working. That immediate feedback on scores was great. We want it back!

I miss this feature, and my coworkers too. The students were motivated by the graph going up. We want it back, make it happen please.

In fact I added it to the wish-list being compiled for the Khan Academy developers of users new and return features requests. So hopefully it will get added back soon! I used the Real Time Graph to motivate students and ensure engagement. The room would be silent except for the tapping of keys and the scratching of writing on scratch paper. The percentages of students' missions were appropriate for the time of year and all students finished their missions that year.

I miss the activity graph. I do. :-) 

I like Khan Academy and I now that the Real Time Graph is a small part of the entire picture. But I did really like that tiny portion of it. :-)

Any update on this?  This was an excellent feature "back in the day."  Hoping it will make a return.

Please bring back the "Real-Time " feature. With distance and hybrid learning, we need something like this. Other platforms like Carnegie Learning and MATHIA have "Live Lab" and it is very helpful for the teacher and motivating for the students.

This issue, all by itself, justifies the expense of IXL.  I used to be a Khan Academy Ambassador and gave up trying to convince them to keep real-time data in tool.  I now spend my volunteer time helping schools use IXL, even though it's a for-profit company.  You get what you pay for, I guess.

We used IXL years ago and it was totally inferior to Khan. We couldn't believe the difference when we switched - and this live tab was my favourite tool as a teacher. Has Khan thought of adding it back in as an optional paid feature? It honestly is CRITICALLY important for us teachers during distance learning especially.
