Program about section gone

I found this was an issue for me as well. A lot of changes going on right now. I’m sure the devs are aware of all issues and are fixing them right now.

My guess is that they (meaning whoever is in charge of what the devs do) removed it on purpose. It seems like they have been working up to just removing the cs section, i am not gonna be surprised if they remove scratchpads entirely in the next year or two. If they do not do that i am sure they will make them all private.

As Shipment suggested, this is likely intentional. While the KA devs are updating the API, certain features may stop working for a while. Not having forums is preferable to having broken forums. I’m sure forums will be back and likely with a new API.

Same thing going on here... hopefully the comments weren't all deleted...

Just as a reassurance to anyone, if you have the KA extension, the comment system is still working. I am not sure about the inner workings of the extension, but the fact that the comments are still rendering could maybe mean that they are keeping the comment data to pass over to the new system.

I think one of the biggest worries is that subpage threads will be deleted.

At the time of this posting, the about section is back up. Program discussions work again. Conversations held prior to the event have not been deleted. Miraculously, the extension also seems to be working, despite the likely changes made to the API.

All is right with the world.

I wouldn’t call this the end. The fact that the extension is working could mean they are going to work on it more later. They had many 403 security errors upon reading the console, which could be attributed to their newer security protocol, Sentry and other security measures. My guess is they will try again in a little bit. Be aware of this, and continue to look at alternative solutions. Also be aware they are trying their best, and likely were as anxious as anyone yesterday.

On another note, I am no longer able to load programs with Safari IOS, and the comments still look terrible on my phone. I might have to file a ticket.

I was so worried when the "About" section went down; I started running all sorts of test on my computer. It's slightly maddening that it's intentional, but at least I'm prepared for if they do it again.

When do you'll think they'll fix clicking on notifs? Right now, it doesn't lead to the comment that caused the notif...

The issue with the About tab and program comments should be fixed now! If anyone is still having issues with this, please let us know via a support ticket so that we can investigate the issue.

We're currently in the process of porting several discussions and project endpoints from our old API to our new GraphQL-based API, so it's possible there may be some occasional issues or downtime of these features as we work through this transition. As of right now, there are not any plans for removing or changing any of the functionality of these features, nor should there be any visible differences once the transition has been completed.
