Request to show limited # of assignments at one time, while assigning several lessons.

As a teacher, I was wanting to request a feature where I could assign whole classes lessons for months at a time. But have a setting where I could only have 3-5 lessons show until students complete those lessons. This way if students work quickly and finish the 5 lessons, they will see the future stuff automatically. Where as students who struggle wouldn't be overwhelmed by seeing future assignments (Until that date arrived)
