Commenting should be fair. Everybody should be able to comment without being able to be distracted.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. 

1. Are you referring to posts (Questions, Answers, Comments, Tips & Thanks) below videos & articles in Khan Academy courses?  Or posts here in the Support Community? or something else?
2. Is there some way in which commenting there is not currently fair?  If so, what do you suggest be changed to make it fairer?
3. You wrote "Everybody should be able to comment without being able to be distracted."  Is that a claim that if a user gets distracted it's their own fault?  A request that Khan Academy change something to remove distractions? Something else?

I think the more upvotes and supportive comments a post gets, the more likely that Khan Academy staff will pay attention to it. 
The clearer your statements and arguments, I think the more likely people will vote for your post and add supportive comments.
