Students can't see their score in order to retake low scores

Also, even if they get every question wrong it marks the assignment as completed.

mdownin and anyone else,

If you're a classroom teacher who's been using Khan Academy in your classroom both before and after the change, would you be willing to post your feedback in the post I made to accumulate teacher feedback on Khan Academy Reimagined?

(I'm just another user, and I don't know if KA will use the feedback, but I think it's worth trying.)

THIS!!!  Students need to be able to progress monitor themselves.  I make them retake low scores, but now they can't even see the scores they got.

Same!  I have my students retake low scores, however, they cannot see their scores.

I do not like the new format at all. I have been telling students "keep trying until you get a score you like", but they just see a green check saying "completed" and think they are done. I left feedback on Khan, but I'm wondering how likely it will be that anything changes. If it doesn't change, I will seriously have to rethink my Khan usage in my classroom.

Has anyone seen any evidence or claims that Khan Academy tested these changes with a single classroom teacher?

Is there any reason to think that Khan Academy cares about the learners anymore?

I have had the same problems.  One of my students did find the objectives that were assigned to him (but he doesn't remember how he got there now), and then it was green if he passed it and yellow if it was below 75% so he could redo the assignment if necessary.

YES!! I require my students to earn a 70% or better to earn full credit on each exercise, but allow them to retake the exercise as many times as possible in order to do so. PLEASE bring back the score so students are aware of which assignments they need to work on (the raw score is an important factor in learning). They see the checkmark and move on, thinking they have done what is required. Having a checkmark on their list of completed assignments means NOTHING to them. They can receive a checkmark EVEN IF THEY GET NOTHING CORRECT. Please allow students to see their percentage for all completed assignments. Why would this be removed?

We are having the same concern. If they don't retake it immediately, it is very confusing to figure out which one they have to retake and how to get back to it.

I am having this same problem.  I have been using Khan Academy for years and LOVED it, but I am going to have to re-think this as well if it doesn't go back to the old format.  Students need to be able to see their progress!

Percentages only show up when the unit or course the exercise is in doesn't have course mastery enabled. Here's an example:

With course mastery enabled, I see the problem you were talking about. Example:

Notice that there are no percentages on this snapshot, which was taken on that same day.

THis new version is TERRIBLE! I have been using Khan Academy as a supplement in my math classroom for years with great success. This year it is too hard to navigate. THe kids NEED NEED NEED to be able to see what their scores are in their assigned work, so they can go back and redo them if not a good score. I will not be using this if it doesn't change back to them being able to see their scores.

I completely agree with everyone here—this change has caused so much confusion for students!

As adrielman13 pointed out, scores currently only show as percentages if the course does not have Course Mastery enabled. When Course Mastery is turned on, completed tasks just show a green checkmark regardless of score.

A workaround in the meantime is having students open the specific unit/course page directly from the course catalog—there, they can often see whether a skill is marked as Familiar, Proficient, or Attempted, which gives them a better idea of where they stand.

However, having direct percentage scores right on the Assignments tab is crucial for self-monitoring. Make sure to submit formal feedback through Submit a Request at the top of the Support page so the product team sees how widespread this issue is!

aruloly123034585,

Did you verify any of this, or did you just ask AI and copy the answer without checking it (or even labeling that your post came from AI)?
