BRING BACK THE OLD LAYOUT!!!

Supposedly you get the old layout back if you unenroll from all classes.  Is that something you can do?  Or are you using this for school and you get KA assignments from a teacher, so you have to be enrolled in a class on here?

(So far, all the comments I've seen this week are people who dislike or hate the change, including some teachers.  I hope they roll it back.)

Every word of this is so true not kidding.

EXACTLY, this is so true, and yeah i got the old version back by unenrolling from all my classes since i dont need any

JaniceHolz I got stuck in teacher mode and can't get out

I urge anyone who is stuck in teacher mode to use the "Report a problem" link in the upper right to send KA a support request.  Maybe if they get enough reports of the problem they will prioritize figuring out how to fix it.

KA finally got me out of teacher/coach mode this week.
If you are also stuck in teacher/coach mode with the checkmark grayed out and have not yet submitted a support request about it, I encourage you to submit one.

@JaniceHolz same here

Bring back the old layout please.

Bring back the old layout for teachers. The new interface is AWFUL!!!!!! Teachers have enough on their plates, and don't need this horrible "update" to overcomplicate an already difficult job. I can't easily see my student scores. I just extended the due date on an assignment, and now can't view it without entering a custom date range. Please, I do NOT have time for this nonsense.

I reuse my classes/assignments every year, and I can't view them from most recent to oldest, it automatically sorts them with oldest first. I can't click on the assignment to practice it myself. Assigning new exercises takes way too many clicks. Locating assignments is horrible.

There is nothing that I like about this new format.

Bethany...I completely agree. I'm simply not going to use KA anymore. It WAS a wonderful tool for many years but, ... Dang! From this classroom teacher's standpoint, they really messed it up. I don't think they could've done worse if they tried.

Bethany Souza (and anyone else),

If you're a classroom teacher who's been using Khan Academy in your classroom both before and after the change, would you be willing to post your feedback in the post I made to accumulate teacher feedback on Khan Academy Reimagined?

(I'm just another user, and I don't know if KA will use the feedback, but I think it's worth trying.)

I left a comment. Thank you! I’m so frustrated.

PLEASE!!! I am not going to be able to use this if it doesn't go back. I copied the same assignments like 7 times to the same class and spent 20 minutes deleting them. The date changes are easy, but not the times. I can't see scores and I don't know what to do...

wow teachers and students hate this new layout

Ok.... I uh... get your first part, but... uh, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th part... It's like... no!

I’ve never been part of any classes, and reading this stuff that I was unaware of, I’m glad that I was never in any. That sounds like nightmare. I really hope that they don’t update it some more and even students not in classes have that.

Hey so I found a way to get the old layout back

Instead of going to "classroom.khanacedemy.org" just remove the "classroom."

just bring back the bios I had so much fun making one and I got to know my friends better

I believe you can still have bios if you remove the "classroom." and go to the /profile/

You can get back to the old layout by removing the "classroom" from the URL, but if you try to access your classrooms or assignments, it sends you to the new layout.

ok so think of the normal khan and the classroom khan as seperate sites

The things you complain that khan removed are only in the classroom khan, the normal khan is untouched

My teacher didn't even assign anything yet so i stuck with the normal layout :D

When I 1st opened Khan and Saw the new Layout it was Cringe worthy, I automatically went to Google and looked up how to fix it. I Cannot work on my ELA  Assignments like I'm used to. I am used to a few quick clicks and Study for a FAST, a few more and Study Calculus, a few more and Study web development. NOW it is a million clicks

Me and a group of friends have a KA class and I post harder and harder stuff to nourish our brains and now it is cringe worthy. Mrs. Bethany Souza and Mr. Deaver, I cannot imagine having to grade roughly 100 kids a day: I want to cry with 7. And know the education is in the hands of a Gemini AI—or OpenAI—Model (Remind us that OpenAI stole one of the 7 Millenium Problems...and did it wrong,  and that Google AI Models have been part of several 'security audits' that involved, while legal, breaking into 3 companies' stuff )? Sounds like a distraction to me (and a threat to learning just imagine a GPT dreaming tooo much or a Google doing something W sus). When I 1st used KA I remember the helpful comment section under the Sal Khan Videos, the joy. The new layout looks just like a Gemini Google Slideshow and is as corny as profanity. I am capable of visualizing an AI Hallucination and a student getting over the top frustrated. Here in FL they have strict NO AI FOR SCHOOL Policies for students but now a school resources give us Gemini's and ChatGPTs? I don't care if they want round corners just give us KA back! I don't learn from Gems and Hexagons—or round corners—, I learn from Sal Khan's classics and the Comment section. They do all this profanity and still ask for donations!?! I will give my money to Wikipedia or the Internet Archives before Modern Academy!

pov: you use normal khan 👀

whatever this classroom thing is it sounds horrible though

HI MOCHI

EDITH hiii but let's not distract others 💗
