Learn to Read and Vocabulary Courses

Do any of Khan Academy's current Reading or ELA classes address this at all?
Are you an educator of some kind?

(I'm an adult KA user who's mostly here to do programming and help with math.  I don't know much about teaching reading, but I hope if you answer my questions it will help others understand what you are asking for and how important it is.)

My name is Dionne, we all know literacy rates have been failing for while there are several articles of how High school students are going to Universities and Colleges without reading a single book in their lives and also there's a 19-year girl name Aleysha Ortiz, suing the City of Connecticut's Hartford Public High School the Board of Education and her Special Education case manager because should can't read or write.

I understand Aleysha Ortiz situation because I was once a student a long time ago in Special Education, Schools around America are still teaching Three cueing also known as searchlight model, it doesn't help students to read and harms Us psychologically for decades, but Schools are still using the three cueing to this day. I'm still use text-to-speech because I can't spell a lot of these words and read. if you're wondering, how am I writing this comment it's because I'm using text-to-speech on my smartphone and hoping KA spell check is working.

I answered your questions, aren't you a Moderator or work for Khan Academy development team ?

I wrote in my first response "I'm an adult KA user".  No, I have no position with Khan Academy.  I am sad if I wasn't clear about that. (Is there a way I could be clearer in the future?)

It would make sense if the posts in the Content Requests and Feedback section were sent to Khan Academy staff; they even claim in the pinned post that the KA Content Team reads this forum.  However, not all the posts here ever get any response from anyone official with KA (I found several posts that are 1 - 6 months old that have no official response).
Also, sometimes other users can be helpful, and they are allowed to participate in this forum.

I asked the questions because I think that information would be helpful to Khan Academy in prioritizing your request.
While you don't have to answer my questions, I am confused that you think you did.
One of my questions was "Are you an educator of some kind?"  I do not see anything in any of your posts in this thread in which you indicated whether you teach or work in education; you did say that you were a student in Special Education, but that doesn't tell me if you are an educator.

Sorry Janice I haven't been online in while, I am just a normal Khan Academy Adult User I'm not an educator, I can barely read myself. I was hoping Khan Academy Moderator or Khan Academy developers would read my post at least to help people like Us learn to read cause Public Schools are still using antiquated methods to teach reading skills which still doesn't work even after graduated Public Schools back in the early 2000s.
