How Can This figure be an Rectangle

A rectangle is defined as a four sided shape with four corners all with 90 degree angles. Each side of the rectangle has the same length as the one opposite to it. By this definition, technically it is a rectangle. But I agree it's not a fair question, as it is obviously a square.

Every square is a rectangle, but not every rectangle is a perfect square.
