I have a question about geometric means with triangles.

Ah ok, so this type of problem is fairly difficult depending on what grade you are in, but I can tell you the strategy I use. I first find the area of the smaller triangle, and then attempt to fit them into the bigger triangle. This may not help with this specific problem, but I am currently going through this in school so I might get back to you with more helpful advice sometime this week.
