Project: Hoppy Beaver Extreme

Hey guys, I cannot figure out for the life of me how to start playing the game Hoppy Beaver Extreme. I came to this project a few days ago and didn't touch the code. I just wanted to try playing the game to see what a wanted to stay the same and what I wanted to revise. I started by clicking the canvas at the beginning of the game but when I tried to play, all it did was turn the edges of the canvas blue. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help me or do I need to report the problem? Btw, I'm using a laptop Mac if that's any way helpful.
