Completed Courses

When I assign courses I would like an indicator or feature that shows if I have already assigned that course. It's a bit cumbersome to have to navigate back and forth between the "Manage" and "Assign" pages under the "Assignments" tab to check if I had already assigned a course. Maybe there is already a better way and I just haven't figured it out yet? Thank You.
