Delete students

Hi Anna:

Log into Khan Academy.

Click students on the top left-hand side.

Click the box that is all the way to the right next to the names of the students you wish to remove. 

At the top of those boxes there is a choice for delete. This is permanent.

The steps you sent to me just now are the exact steps I completed before and tried it again, just now and it doesn't seem to be working.  I go to Teacher Dashboard, click on Students on the top left, click the box for the student I want to remove, and under the "actions" tab above the boxes, I click on "remove from class".  Nothing happens to them, they are still on my roster.

I also did these steps last week on your website for my class and the removal did not happen.

Sorry for this. It must be frustrating. Are you able to remove them from the class at least? You can try to do that from the individual classes that they were in last year using that same method but under the class and not just students.

Try to completely log out, then log back in and try again. If not, you probably have to report it as a glitch.

No, I only have one class and it rolled over from last year.

and yes I've tried to remove them numerous times.  How do I report a glitch?

It worked!  I went ahead and logged out and in again and all the deleted students are gone!

Success!! I am one county over from you in Dade. Glad you were able to get it done.

I am having this same difficulty. I am unable to remove students from my roster. On the roster the "Action" box is grayed out and it's not allowing anything to be selected. I've logged out and in several times on different computers.

I am having the same issue. Though when i click "Action", the only options are to "add to class" and "stop coaching". I need this student permanently deleted as the system will NOT let me add an email to her account and I NEED that user name for her account. And it will not allow me to open a new student account with that user name. And there's no number to call.
