Outsourcing Teachers
Hello,
Firstly I want to thank everybody working on this organization, it has helped me throughout highschool. However, I just wanted to point out that I've noticed that more and more teachers are not Sal (which I totally understand and accept) but keep in mind that what makes Khan Academy great is the intuitive, simple way in which Sal teaches. I feel that sometimes the methods of newer teachers is definitely not as smooth and uncomplicated as Sal's. For example, I recently found out that there were lessons on Bitcoin, which is a subject I was truly intrigued. Excitedly, I viewed the lessons with the expectation that I was going to learn as in most Khan Academy videos, but it only complicated everything more (and I am sure I am not the only one). This rarely happened before. I point this out to give some feedback, since I think this can help in the recruitment process of some teachers. The feeling I had with this particular lesson was that it was being taught by a PhD professor wanting to flex and complicate instead of the simple, first principled way in which Sal teaches. I hope this helps in some way. Sorry to disturb, and again, thank you for everything!
