-Personal Story. -Thanks!

This is a "Gratitude letter" to the founder, developers, and contributors. However i just can't express into words how grateful I am, so i have decided to write this little "testimonial", so you can get a grasp on how i feel...

Keep In Mind:
-I'm from Brasil.
-My writing is really bad. I'm still a beginner. 
-I'm autistic -and I have all sorts of psychological issues to go with it-. So I might accidentally offend or trigger the reader without noticing. This is not my intention! 


Schools tend to be a joke in most countries, but here in Brasil it is simply shameful! All my time in school was completely wasted! The only thing i learned from there is that humans are perverse naked monkeys. Luckily i manged to get a dispense from that disgusting place when i was 16. So up to that point, ALL of my knowledge came from 'TV Cultura', an educational channel we had on open television, and partially the internet.

 After i "finished" school I started to play A LOT of videogames. And from that I learned to speak English!

Those videogames also caused me to develop a passion for ALL SORTS OF AREAS! (History, Guns, Engineering, Art, Modeling, etc.). So I started to research, and learn A LOT, from the internet.

All of that coupled with my introspection/autism/agoraphobia, lead me towards an intense love for story telling... But i barely know how to write...

Between my multiple mental "ventures"; Every time i thought of picking up a pen and a notebook, I always felt that same feeling of frustration and shame from my time in hell. So i kept avoiding "the studies" for FIVE YEARS! But recently i just felt like i HAD to start learning for real. So i decided to study english first.

After mining a bit on youtube I started to feel like i didn't have a ''Starting Point''. So i just started writing down many of Oxford's lectures as they came...  They were VERY useful, but I often felt lost between the videos, they don't have an 'English Playlist' like "From Beginner To Master". After a few days I was feeling tired of mining thru their videos, and had to give it a pause... So I decided to try some of those educational games/exercises for children, and it worked great! ... Until they started asking for for my credit card... So i went from site to site looking for exercises and practice.

Somehow i ended up here! At first i thought: "Nah. Too professional. But let's try to finish at least the beginner's guide, it's probably free right?". But lesson after lesson, the paywall never appeared... So i decided to research about the site and BOOM!!! Khan Academy is an American non-profit educational organization! I was so happy!!! Than I noticed that you guys have MANY other courses! And now I'm actually going to try 'n get to learn everything i lost from my "School" years!!!

I still can't believe that this institution even exists... It's so hard for me to grasp that a human would actually do something like this for nothing in return. It's almost abstract!

So THANKS! I really want to thank all of you for giving me the opportunity to get such an invaluable part of my life back to me!
