Why is there the age guideline? Seeing as this is a learning website, people of all ages should be able to be free to learn, without restirctions. Let's say your 10. You just got child-accounted. Before that you had found a question to answer, because everybody would ignore it. Then reading the guidelines, you find out that you have to wait three years to answer the question! Frustrating, right? To me this guideline to be removed, but I have nothing against it.

Why does KA have this guideline? To me it seems unnatural for a learning website to have such a useless seeming rule

Hi Marshy,

Our Children's Privacy Policy states that all users who are under the age of 13 are required to have a child account with additional restrictions to protect the user's privacy. The age limit and required restrictions are actually set by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, a United States federal law, so this is not something that Khan Academy is able to change.

I have a question so if you are studying for a test but it just some things and you already completed all of it but you know u need more help what do you do?like is there something that has all of the stuff you need but not the course test

Evan Lewis , I was thinking that there could be a smaller version of Khan Academy for people under 13, and when they turn thirteen(does the system keep track of birthdays?), they can proceed to use the current version of Khan Academy
