If I do an AP Calculus course on Khan Academy, will I be ready for the AP Exam?

If I take the AP Calculus AB course on Khan Academy, at the end of it will I be ready to take the AP exam? I am in 12th grade in high school, and my intention had been to take an AP Calculus course in high school but due to having to satisfy other course requirements I was unable to do so. So I would like to know whether I would be sufficiently ready to take the AP exam next May, provided I diligently complete all the materials and work provided here on Khan Academy? My plan, if possible, is to take the Khan Academy course outside of the courses I am taking in high school, and I need to decide whether or not to register for the AP exam in next May.

If anyone can help that would be very helpful.

Everyone will have a different definition of being 'ready' for an exam. I took AP calculus my Junior year of High School, and the AP courses that Khan Academy offers certainly helped. While I don't want to tell you that if you take KA's AP courses, you will pass the test, but utilizing these courses certainly wouldn't hinder your performance at all! In the end, it will rest on your shoulders - whether or not you feel ready to take the test.

My concern is that I am unable to take the AP Calculus course in high school itself, and I am in my senior year of high school now. So I'd be relying on the material in the Khan Academy course, and I need to decide by late October whether or not to register for the AP exam.

The test is different every year. Last year, there may not have been some material on it, this year the excluded material may be different. I don’t want to tell you what you should or should not do, but KA should cover everything that could possibly be on the test. You could start working through it now, and when the deadline for the test gets closer, decide how you’ve felt for the first bit of the material you’ve worked through.
