ABOUT TO GIVE UP Working from Parent Dashboard

I have logged in and I'm at the parent dashboard. My name is showing in the upper right hand corner.
I see my two kids accounts in front of me.

I click on my son's name and I ONLY see progress/stats. How does he get to his Learner Homepage where his courses are??! If I click Learner Homepage from this page it takes me to MY learner homepage which of course I don't want. 

If I try logging in both children as a learner with his username and password it says "not found" even though I know it's the correct username and I've just changed the password so I know it's right.
