Asking about organic chemistry on khan academy?
Do I need to have calculus under my belt? meaning do I need to be fluent in calculus before taking organic chemistry on khan academy?
Hi Pauline,
Organic Chemistry is generally less math intensive than a regular Chemistry or an AP Chemistry course, so I don't think you would need Calculus for it. Unless you're working with theoretical chemistry (which I don't believe the Organic Chemistry course covers), you likely won't need anything beyond basic algebra.
Hope this helps!
Thanks Even Lewis I am self teaching my self math and science, and I am not anywhere near calculus or even half way down ap calculus yet, and I am thinking to do math, chemistry make my own timetable and split it, and after I do organic chemistry I am hoping to do inorganic chemistry. I wish I continued doing that when I was young but now I am in my 38yrs old I started taking learning more seriously and following my dream which I should have done years ago.
