Says my daughter is "struggling"?

My daughter is a perfectionist, so if she gets one wrong answer on a test, she takes it again. The test change each time, it's not the same questions over and over... It shows that she is "struggling" with a concept. She told me she took that test 3 times. Is it showing "struggling" because she took the test 3 times? Is it better overall for her to take the test once and move on, even if there are wrong answers? Or re-take the test until the definitely understands it? She is heartbroken to see that red mark on her weekly report. She's in 7th grade. Thank you!

Hi Lindsay,

The computer automatically sends a "struggling" red mark whenever she doesn't achieve a 100% at least three times, at least to my knowledge. Even if it shows "struggling", she can continue to practice until she masters the concepts.

Typically, the "struggling" icon will only show if she didn't watch the lesson or view the document that came before the questions.

She can continue taking the test until the computer says she definitely understands it, even if it's just a silly mistake or a small error for what she did wrong. If your child wants to achieve all mastery points, then they'll need to get 100%, or proficient, on every single test in the unit.
