Request to add a GED/TASC Test Course

I was wondering if you have any plans to make a GED course or in my case a TASC test course? I've been a out of high school for over 7 years and I've tried taking classes for the test but I always end up dropping out due to how poorly the classes are (Not funded, Understaffed, overcrowded, etc.). I feel like I have more time learning on Khan Academy than I do at those TASC Test/GED classes. The problem is that there are so many skills to learn on the Math courses alone that I feel that most of those skills aren't going to be on the test and it will take me months if not over a year to master all of the math courses on Khanacademy. Is there a way you can make a GED/Tasc test course similar to the SAT course you have on the website. I see you guys have a lot of courses and skills like AP Calculus, AP Physics, computer science, etc. You know stuff for overachievers. How about helping the underachievers out a bit?

Hi Danger,

Apologies for the late reply. I escalated your post a week or two ago and have been inquiring about possible GED content for the future. I've seen quite a few requests pertaining to GED content (mainly test prep), so I'm sure it is on their radar for future productions. If something is announced regarding it, you'll be able to read about it via the News and Updates forum.

After asking around, I didn't hear anything about GED prep currently in the works. However, I will be looking into the exam requirements and outlining some proposals that I'll develop in the future. Khan Academy has a tight roadmap due to limited resources, but I plan to look into the details of what content would help individuals such as yourself with the test and at least get something drafted for possible future integration.

Although there isn't GED test prep content available, you can still use the website to study particular areas and strengthen your skills. You can selectively study (which I often do, because there are many skills, and certain ones will show up more often than others) by determining what the exam tests you on and then locating that specific content on Khan Academy. This way, you won't have to go through each course and you'll be able to focus on what's most important.
