does the course challenge lower your score?

I have just finished a high school geometry course and wanted to do the course challenge to see how much I have retained. I would do this but I am very hesitant because I am not sure whether or not it will lower my score and do damage to my hard work.

it won't let me start it over and its freaking annoying I barely have a B on math and its gonna ruin it and my parents insist I do it. I thought I could repeat it until I did well otherwise I would've looked over my answers better. now im screwed if I finish it out.
