My learning is also suffering because I have to spend time retracing my steps. The problem is compounded because I'm learning multiple subjects. I suspect since this thread is more than three months old and there has not been a response from a Khan team member a solution is not in the works.

I'm sorry, G. Gluck, but you've posted in an old thread about this functionality on an iPad. If you are using a browser on a pc you should be able to use the Resume learning. Please open a new thread or send a Support request using the Report a problem button if you can't use Resume learning. If we continue the conversation here, all the people who have written about iPad problems will be spammed.

Here is some specific advice for iPad users. It may also work for Android users. This advice works if you remember what course you were taking, although with some trial and error, you may find the right one. Also, it works best if you are doing all of the videos, practices, and articles in the order in which they appear (video/practice/article within playlist within topic).
Go into the course you were taking, such as Algebra 1. The icons for the videos, practices, and articles you have already viewed should be in a dark blue color. The icons for the ones you have not yet viewed are gray. If you left off in the middle of a video or practice, its icon will be light blue. (Article icons always appear dark blue once you’ve opened it.)
Scroll down through the course material to find the last dark blue or light blue icon before the gray ones start to appear. If that last icon is light blue, it means you probably didn’t finish it (such as you only attempted 2 of the 4 problems in a practice), so start with that one. If that last icon is dark blue, start with the next one. Don’t forget, when you’re scrolling, to go all the way to the right of the screen if there are more playlists under a topic than will fit the width of your screen. Also, if the first gray icon you see is the first one in its playlist, check the playlist before that one. There may be more items in that preceding playlist than can fit in the allocated area, so scroll through it to make sure there are no gray icons or an ending light blue one in that playlist.
Issues you may encounter:
1. Gaps of gray or light blue followed by dark blue ones. I suggest filling in the gaps before looking for the absolute end of completed material.
2. You have been knowingly skipping around, so the dark blues are not in any kind of order. I can’t really help much here unless you are pretty sure where you may have already been.
3. All of the icons for the whole course are either gray or dark blue. This means that you have either not started this course or have already finished it. You may have chosen the wrong course and will need to try another one, or if you have finished it, you may have forgotten that you finished it (but may want to do the mastery challenge exercises now).
The above references to the color blue will need to be changed to the right one if the course in question is not a math one.

I'm not as familiar with the Android app (all I currently use it for on my Samsung phone is to play videos I've found via Googling a topic), but if it's anything like the iOS one, here are some possibilities:
1. When you first open the app, if the Android app works like the iOS app, you'll get a page labelled All Subjects. The subjects/courses will be spread across the screen in rows arranged by category, with Math on the top, and mainly in each row arranged from most basic to more advanced. You will almost certainly have to scroll to the right to see every subject/course in each category (especially if you are in portrait mode) and to the bottom to see every category (especially if you are in landscape mode).
2. The course you are studying may not be available in the app. This is true on the iPad and probably also on Android for every Computing course except for the one called Computer science, which is a generalized introduction that does not include any programming. If you were studying another computer course, you will need to return to the web version to resume. Your Android tablet or smartphone likely has an Internet browser such as Chrome. Use the Internet browser to navigate to Khan Academy just like you did when you used a PC.

Unfortunately I think you're right and my course is not on the app. I'e already made a serach via search button at the bottom of the app and as you had suggested.
I'm taking part in the very base course for english grammar (I'm quite proficient in English but since I've learned quite everything by myself my grammar is poor) and I wish to use the app because I think it would be a better option than the web version of the site.
But I'm stuck with the browser since I can't use the app :(
It's a shame and sincerely I don't understand why on earth is not possible to partecipate in all the courses via the app as is common with other "schhols" like Khan Academy (Coursera, just for name one).

I can see the Grammar course in my All Subjects list on my iPad. It is listed in the Arts and Humanities category. When I have my iPad in landscape mode (more width than length), I definitely have to scroll down to see this category. When I have it in portrait mode (more length than width), I can just barely see the tops of the Arts and Humanities subject icons, so I still need to scroll down to see the course names.
Grammar is far enough to the right that I need to scroll right even in landscape mode to see the Grammar course.
One other possibility is that Grammar has not been made available for Android. Make sure you have the latest version of the Khan Academy Android app in case this is a relatively new offering for either Android or for both Android and iOS.

On my phone is not possible to change between ladscape and portrait mode :)
Anyway I've already made a search in Arts and Humanities without success. I've installed Easy Access for Khan Academy (free on Play store) and I've easily found my course.
I don't understand why is not available with the official app

I just brought up the Khan Academy (official) app on my Android smart phone, although I don’t usually use it there. I see that the interface is somewhat different from the one on my iPad. I found the Grammar course. Here is how to get to it:
1. The app opens only in portrait mode. I don’t know if this is due to the app or to a setting on my phone. I could not get it to switch to landscape. The page is labeled Explore rather than All Subjects.
2. Scroll down to Arts and humanities. You will see the first two and a half icons in this area, none of which is Grammar. There is an arrow labeled See all above these icons.
3. Click on See all.
4. This brings up a list of subjects. On my Samsung Galaxy S7, the first seven icons for Arts and humanities show up. The 7th one is Grammar. If it doesn’t show up on your screen, you can scroll down until you find it.
5. Assuming you’ve found Grammar, click on it.
6. You will then see a list of the topics for Grammar. You’ll need to go into each one to see the playlists within them and which are marked as completed (dark-colored icon), in progress (list-colored icon), or not yet attempted (gray icon).
I hope this helps you. I am going to explore the Android app in more detail to be able to see any differences from iPad that I can point out here. Also, I don’t know if an Android app for tablets is laid out the same as my iPad one or if it’s like the phone one. And if the iPhone version is laid out more like for the Android phone instead of the iPad.

Thanks for sharing the desktop. It looks like you may not have the most recent version of the Android app. The version I have is 2.6.5, updated on March 14, 2018. You can check what your version is as follows. Please note that I am not an Android "guru" and can't provide help on such things on how to get into the Google Play Store or how to Update an app that isn't the latest version and doesn't appear to have an update available.
1. Go into Google Play Store. (There is probably an icon for this on the home page/desktop of your phone.)
2. On the Google Play Store home page, in the menu denoted by what I have come to think of as a universal menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the upper left corner, choose My apps & games.
3. On the My apps & games page, choose Installed. But before you do this, look in the Updates tab (which is my default tab on this page and may be yours, too) and look in the Updates available list. If you see Khan Academy listed there, chose the UPDATE button next to it. You won't need to follow the remaining steps if you find Khan Academy here.
4. Scroll down to Khan Academy in the alphabetical listing. (My phone displays this as a list in alphabetical order. I don't know if this is the only option, so if there are other options, and you are using one of them, you may have to look differently for Khan Academy.)
5. Once you have found Khan Academy, click on the left side of the list (NOT on the OPEN button).
6. On the page for Khan Academy, scroll down past the UNINSTALL/OPEN buttons, various icons describing things (such as number of downloads), a short app description, and the WHAT'S NEW information until you see READ MORE.
7. Click on READ MORE.
8. Scroll down on the Read More page to the very bottom. You should see two columns of information. The first one in the left column is "Version". The first one in the right column is "Updated on". If the version is earlier than 2.6.5 and/or the updated date is earlier than Mar. 14, 2018, I recommend that you update your version.
9. Close the Read More page by clicking on the X in the top left corner.
10. I'm not sure how to force an Update for an app that's not in the Updates available list, but there may be an UPDATE button alongside the UNINSTALL and OPEN buttons.
