Never give up on your dreams. This is my story.
Ever sense i was a young kid, i dreamed of going to college.
I was home-schooled and my parents were to busy to properly teach me, so my education was poor at best. by the time i was 16 i had pretty much given up hope on my biggest dream. I thought that i couldn't do it and that it simply wasn't possible for me. after i tried reading what old math books i could find from my parents closet, which was widely outdated and not of much use. I finally came across Khan academy, after i looked into it a bit and started watching videos i felt like i could actually do it. and after several months of studying my family and friends finally pushed me in the right direction and i went to test for my HISET, it was the first actual test in my entire life, i was stressed out so badly worrying that i couldn't do it or that i would fail because i didn't try hard enough.
After about a week and a half from when i took the test, i got my results back, and i passed it with pretty good scores. I was so happy for myself, so i decided to sign up got the ACT test, and i did amazing in some areas, and only a few months after i took my HISET test, i applied for a community college near by and i got accepted, and now not even three weeks from today, i will be attending college as if i were any other normal person who grew up going to school with a public education.
So, long story short: thank you Khan academy, thank you Sal. If it wasn't for you, i wouldn't be going to college. I wouldn't have taken my ACT test, or gotten my HISET. Because of Khan academy, i have a future to look forward to.
