I have an idea that maybe you can 'follow' other users on Khan Academy. Whenever they make a new program, you're notified. For example, say I follow Swax97. Then, if he makes a new program called "The Program", a notification would appear that says, "Swax97 has made a new program at: link here".

That is a great idea, but the only thing is that people with a small amount of followers or none will feel bad while higher programmers have hundreds on followers. A programming site called Scratch has the following system, and there are people just completely begging for followers. That would not be good on KA if people were spamming other users asking for follows. They would have to put up a new Computer Programming Guidline......Just saying.
That is an extraordinary thought, however interestingly, individuals with a limited quantity of supporters or none will feel terrible while higher software engineers have hundreds on adherents. A programming site called Scratch has the accompanying framework, and there are individuals just totally asking for supporters. That would not be acceptable on KA if individuals were spamming different clients requesting follows. They would need to set up another Computer Programming Guidline......Just saying.
