Making a single assignment

Jett's advice is spot-on -- just make sure that your single student is part of one of your classes (in his example, "Student #2" is in "Math class").  

I don't know of a way to give an Assignment to an "unaffiliated" student.

Thanks for the response. I've been able to make an assignment to an individual student, but I can't then monitor the assignments on an individual basis. I have many students in the same class who are at different levels. I can't seem to find a way to find a way to display a list of assignments given to a single student. Is that possible?

Yeah, I can't think of a way to do that. One work-around would be to create a separate class for each student (in addition to your full class) and give individual assignments from there.

It would be nice if a teacher's view of a student's account -- what you can see whenever you click on a student's name -- would show Assignments, maybe right between Profile and Badges (or perhaps under "Progress", like it used to show Coach's Recommendations):

A feature that lets you filter progress and assignments only for certain students is a planned addition, but I can't guarantee when it will be finished.
