How can we help?

What happens if I have more than one school district account?

Updated

While working on your student account on Khan Academy, you may end up with more than one school district account. This can happen if, for example, one teacher added you to their class via the Clever portal, and another teacher (perhaps from a previous year) might have added you to their class by using your school email.

While it’s possible for our users to have multiple accounts, only one of them can have your school email, and this is the one that will be used if your teacher has their classes rostered for them by the school district (if they are using Khan Academy Districts or Khan Academy Districts + Learning Paths).

If you have more than one school account, it could happen that you might be doing school work for your teacher in one account, but the other school district account containing your school email is the one that will be used when you are added to a new Khan Academy Districts or Khan Academy Districts + Learning Paths class.
At the moment, it’s not possible to merge accounts or transfer progress between them.

If you believe you might have more than one school district account and the one you’re accessing might not be the correct, feel free to contact us by reporting a problem if you’re unable to access the second school account, and we’ll be happy to help you regain access to that account directly.
