How do I change my existing Khan Academy account into a teacher account?

If you previously were using Khan Academy as a student, adult learner, or parent, but now want to use it as a teacher, you can easily adjust your account's "role."

Below are the instructions to do so:

  1. Log into your existing Khan Academy account
  2. Click your name in the top-right corner 
  3. Click "Settings" from the dropdown 
  4. Scroll to the "Roles" section 
  5. Select the Teacher/Coach role from the options
  6. Click "Save changes"

We also suggest you fill out the "Add your school" and "Teacher confirmation" sections which are located below the "Roles" section on the settings page.
