How can I use Khan Academy without an internet connection?
If you will be without an Internet connection only temporarily, a good option would be downloading the videos on the Khan Academy app so that you can watch them while you're offline! Here's how to do it both on iOS and Android:
Android app
1. Run the Khan Academy Android app and go to the video you'd like to access offline.
2. Tap the Bookmark icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. The video will be added to your bookmarks.
3. Go to your bookmarks—the Bookmark icon in the navigation bar—and tap the download button to download the video.
If you'd like to customize your download settings (e.g., downloading videos in HD quality), tap Download settings.
iOS app
1. Run the Khan Academy iOS app and go to the video you'd like to access offline.
2. Tap the Bookmark icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. The video will be added to your bookmarks.
3. Go to your bookmarks—the Bookmark icon in your homescreen—and tap the download button to download the video.
If you'd like to customize your download settings (e.g., downloading videos in HD quality), tap Download settings.
Disconnected environments
If you need to use Khan Academy in a permanently disconnected environment, we recommend using Kolibri: an ed-tech platform created by Learning Equality to provide a version of the Khan Academy videos and exercises that works offline. Running Kolibri (which builds off of lessons from their first platform, KA Lite) as a local server, you can watch Khan Academy videos and complete exercises - all without needing an internet connection!
For help with Kolibri, please take a look at the User Guide documentation and for further support, post on the community forum or contact the Learning Equality team.
