Efficacy research about Khan Academy

  • A randomized control trial in India: With adequate implementation support, students can achieve target levels of usage and realize significant learning gains.
  • A three-year study in Newark: Students who practiced on Khan Academy gained on average about six additional points on the state math test, close to triple the average state gain.
  • Stanford Report:  This study follows teachers over three years to see how increased usage from one year to the next impacts test scores for approximately 200,000 students. Mastering skills on Khan Academy is consistently associated with gains. Even small amounts of usage improve skills, and there are linear gains at higher levels of usage.
