We are thrilled to announce the release of exciting updates to our 5th-grade math curriculum in Summer 2023!
As part of these updates, we have made several changes to the content. Some existing content has been edited to ensure it is more suitable for the reading level and cognitive load of students. Additionally, we have limited the number of widgets to three per item whenever possible.
Please note that these content updates may affect the Mastery percentages of your students. When new content is added or old content is removed, the overall number of skills in a course changes, which can impact Mastery percentages.
For example, previously a student may have mastered 90 out of 100 skills. However, after the update, with new content added and some removed, they might now have mastered 90 out of 110 skills. This would result in a decrease in their Mastery percentage from 90% to 82%.
With these specific updates to the course, we anticipate only minor changes in student Mastery percentages. The maximum changes are outlined below:
Overall Mastery changes:
- Initially, we had 129 exercises. We have added three new exercises and removed two, resulting in a total of 130 exercises. This could result in a max mastery decrease of 0.7%.
