How can we help?

How do I enable or disable Khanmigo on my child's account?

Updated

Parents who have Khanmigo enabled on their own account can choose to grant access to their connected child accounts as well.

To enable or disable Khammigo on your child’s account, please follow the below steps:

  1. Log into your parent account at www.khanacademy.org
  2. Click your name in the top right corner
  3. Select Settings
  4. Click the Khanmigo tab
  5. You’ll see a list of your connected child accounts
    1. To enable Khanmigo for a child, check the box next to their name.
    2. To disable it, uncheck the box.
  6. Click Save Changes

Please note:

  • This process applies to children under 18 who are connected to a parent account. If your child is 18 or older, they’ll need to sign up for Khanmigo independently at khanmigo.ai.

  • Note: If your child’s account is part of a Khan Academy District, you won’t be able to enable Khanmigo through your parent account.

  • If you'd still like your child to use Khanmigo, you can create a new personal account for them using a non-school email address.

  • If your child received access to Khanmigo through their district and you have concerns about it, please contact your district administrator to remove your child's Khanmigo access.
