How can I assign Khan Academy content in my students' language?
Currently, coaches can assign content (videos, articles, practice, quizzes, and unit tests) to students in any language that that content is available in.
You can assign content as normal through your teacher dashboard, and if the assigned content is not available in a student's selected language, Khan Academy will automatically display the English version of that content. This allows students to continue accessing and completing their assigned work, even when a translated version isn't available.
For example, if a coach assigns English-only ELA content to a student who is using the Spanish version of Khan Academy, the student will see that content in English. Please see screenshot below
NOTE: Not all Unit titles are translated in all languages and if the title does not have an equivalent translated name then it will revert to English.
If you would like to take a quick look at what content is available, by language, before you assign that content to your students, you can do so by accessing the following URL and pick the language locale that you prefer: https://classroom.khanacademy.org/teacher/library/<locale>
Examples: https://classroom.khanacademy.org/teacher/library/es or https://classroom.khanacademy.org/teacher/library/pt
To help ensure your students have the most consistent experience, using the same language version of Khan Academy that your students use to complete their assignments whenever possible is highly recommended. You can also review our list of fully translated non-English languages here.
