Just finished Algebra 1 (US, 8th grade) but need to review. Which course?

My son just finished Algebra 1 but had some difficulty. He takes Geometry next. His teacher recommended that he review Algebra 1 over the summer to review what he missed instead of doing a geometry prep class. Since time is limited before school starts, is there a pre-test for the Alg 1 so that he can just target the material he missed? Or, is there a review at the start of the Alg 2 course that would serve as a good Alg 1 review?

He can take the course challenge for Algebra 1, which is at the end of the course.

Hi James,

As Prem suggested, the Course Challenge in the Algebra 1 course would be a good way to quickly review the content from the course.

Another option is to go through the Get Ready for Geometry course. This course is designed to review essential skills needed for the Geometry course, which includes skills from the Algebra 1 course as well as other previous courses. If he has the time to complete this course, this would provide a much more comprehensive review.
