Pause symbol overlay on videos on Khan Academy website

Recently, when I play a video on the Khan Academy website, a pause symbol appears smack in the middle of the video. Really annoying. The first few times this occurred, I was able to restore the old video style by refreshing the page, sometimes needing to repeat that a few times. But today even that doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks in advance.

YouTube made a change to their video player that made it a lot worse. KA has a fallback video player that doesn't have this issue, but I think that you need to block YouTube for it to show up consistently.

Thanks for your fast reaction. Blocking YouTube to use the fallback video player, any suggestions on how to do that? I use YouTube a lot. I would already be happy if the pause symbol wouldn't linger for a second after I move the mouse cursor out of the video. Also, when I pause the video to copy something from the screen onto paper, the overlay obscures what you're trying to read. Don't know what purpose that might serve, except maybe annoying users 😠
